We had 2 cases that exemplified the community good provided by the Bayside Medical Missions La Vida Clinic

#1 - 2 year old patient with Tibial hemimelia who was told he would need an amputation when he was born. His family traveled 9 hours to be treated at the clinic. 2 surgeries later he has a straight leg and a plantigrade foot. Once he heals up he will just need his leg length discrepancy addressed and should be able to ambulate relatively normally

#2 - 10 year old male with OI who sustained a femur fracture 7 years ago. Healed with a 90 degree apex anterior malunion. Underwent Open treatment with a flexible nail. He should be walking in a few weeks for the first time in years

Please pray for the clinic staff who helped us in caring for these children and that families who have children with limb deformities may find out about the presence of the clinic to enable them to seek care.
